Florida Health Justice Project (FHJP) is a young and growing not-for-profit statewide organization engaged in a range of advocacy strategies to expand healthcare access and promote health equity for marginalized and vulnerable Floridians. We are seeking an attorney with at least 2 years of experience in litigation or as a judicial clerk. The new attorney will be working with FHJP’s legal director and the National Health Law Program on current cases (some of which are described here) and helping to develop and execute new strategies needed to secure the health care rights of vulnerable Floridians and to support individuals with medical debt. The new attorney will also be working with FHJP’s advocacy director on mitigating coverage loss for current Florida Medicaid recipients after the public health emergency’s ongoing Medicaid coverage provision ends. REQUIREMENTS: The candidate should be passionate about social justice, have excellent legal analysis and writing skills and be a member of the Florida Bar. SALARY & BENEFITS: $65,000-75,000, with great work environment, flexible schedule, remote work, and benefits.
