Free and Low-Cost Health Care
Orange County Updated January 2023 Primary Care:
Pursuant to Florida law, county residents below 100% of the federal poverty level, FPL, are entitled to free primary and prenatal care. See, Fla. Stat. 154.011 generally and Fla. Stat. 154.011(1))(c)(7); and Fla. Admin. Code R. 64F-16.006(1)(a). In Orange County, that care is provided through the Jackson Health System (JHS). Financial Assistance at Hospitals:
Financial assistance is available to patients who have limited or no resources to pay for emergent or medically necessary services and applies to bills from Orlando Health Hospitals and employed physicians.
