Medicaid Expansion


No issue is more important to furthering health justice in Florida than expanding Medicaid coverage under the ACA.  Florida is one of only 12 states still refusing federal funding to cover low-income uninsured adults.  As a result, there are now over 1.5 million low-income uninsured Floridians who could have coverage. 

Call to Action:

  • Join the Health Care for Florida Coalition
  • Sign the Southerners for Medicaid Expansion Petition and show our leaders in the 8 Southern non-expansion states that we are in this together
  • Register to Vote! Deadline is 
  • Find out each candidate's position on Medicaid Expansion
